For those of you not familiar with the AIDS Virus, it attacks T Cells, which are the sentries in the human body that identify and destroy disease causing organisms, before those organisms can spread. I believe gun control, no matter how “well-intentioned” is the AIDS Virus of tyranny attacking the guardian T Cells of the American Body Politic.

Let’s look at the parallels. The AIDS Virus is hard to stop with a vaccine, because it mutates rapidly. It is always changing, yet always bent on replicating itself, and in so doing, destroying the host organism. Gun control constantly mutates, shifting from “Saturday Night Specials,” to “Assault Weapons,” to “Sniper Rifles,” to “Ammunition Accountability,” to attempts to classify ammunition as explosives. We see predatory lawsuits against gun makers, ammunition taxes, government intrusion into private medical records, and numerous other ploys to strip the American People of their fundamental, individual right to armed self-defense against crime and tyranny.

What does the AIDS Virus do to the body? By killing the T Cells, AIDS allows cancers and other diseases to spread in the human system. By denying citizens the right of self-defense to crime, gun control insures that armed criminals will have a much better chance to succeed against unarmed victims. The criminals kill and injure more and more honest citizens. The call goes out for more gun control. Like an infection racing through the body, the contagion spreads. In the worst cases, genocide results, when criminals become entrenched in governments and begin to kill their unarmed citizens and others wholesale.

Cities like Chicago, Detroit, New York City, and Washington, D.C. are examples of relatively low-level infections perpetuated by the AIDS Virus of gun control. (See my posts under the category “Gun Control Failures.”) Hitler’s Germany, Stalin’s Soviet Union, and Pol Pot’s Cambodia are examples of overwhelmingly fatal cases of genocide preceded by governmental disarmament of the intended victims.

(See the Jews for the Preservation of Firearms’ Ownership Website for a comprehensive list of countries where gun control has preceded wholesale murder.)

I believe the Second Amendment is the most important amendment in the Bill of Rights, because it is the article that recognizes the fundamental, natural right of the individual citizen to personal self-defense. This individual right translates into an effective shield against both criminal activity and governmental slaughter.

In our own county, the roots of gun control are sunk deep into the rotten soil of racial discrimination. Native Americans and Blacks were both “legally” denied the right of armed self-defense before their freedoms were infringed upon and many of them were slaughtered outright.

I believe we do ourselves and our children a fatal disservice, if we ignore the lessons of history and allow ourselves to be deluded into thinking that laws will deter armed criminals and potential tyrants. I do not think that it is unreasonable to ask the following question. What are the proponents of gun control planning that is so terrible that they fear armed resistance?

Barrack Hussein Obama apparently found an NRA life member who does not understand the meaning of “shall not be infringed.” The Obama Campaign ran an ad tonight in Denver during National Treasure on Channel 24 claiming that Barack Obama supports the Second Amendment.

In my opinion, that is like saying that Adolf Hitler supported religious freedom for Jews. Let’s take a look at the Second Amendment supported by Obama.

Obama originally endorsed and later denied support for a ban on handguns. His denial is somewhat tainted by the fact that his handwriting was found on the candidate survey form containing his endorsement for a ban. Wow! There’s support for you.

Obama’s version of the Second Amendment would allow the banning of semi-automatic firearms, which make up at least half the guns in America. That’s support!

Obama would allow cities like Chicago, New York, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C., to maintain bans on the right of citizens to defend themselves with firearms. Oh, sure, Barack “Call me if you need me” Obama would “allow” D.C. residents to keep non-semi-auto firearms unloaded and disassembled at home. All you have to do in case of a home invasion is request a time out, while you put your gun together and load it. Shouldn’t be any problem getting a violent felon to give you five minutes, or so. N’est pas?

Obama seems to like it when you use a foreign language. It helps to differentiate you from those “bitter, clingy,” stupid gun owners that he ridicules, when he doesn’t think anyone but Liberal Elitists are listening. (Do you know that BHO sat on the Board of the incredibly anti-gun rights Joyce Foundation?)

The current medieval state of Washington, D.C. gun law should increase business for psychics with regard to thralls interested in self-defense, since you would need to consult a seer, brujo, or other professional on a regular basis, so you would know when to expect a home invader. Suppose psychics have a lobby?

Obama would ban most hunting ammunition, because it has the capability to penetrate most police body armor. Hunters, don’t assume your precious bolt and lever actions are safe! Your telescopic sight makes Old Betsy a “sniper rifle.” Remember the anti-hunting crowd supports BHO, along with the Communist Party and a Mid-East terrorist organization, but that’s another story.

Obama voted to virtually wipe out gun stores by prohibiting them from operating within five miles of a park or school. Now that’s real support for the rights of the people!

Obama is “on record” as opposing laws that allow government-qualified citizens to carry concealed weapons for self-defense. So much for the “bear arms” part of the Second Amendment.

Obama voted to allow predatory lawsuits against the firearms industry over criminal misuse of a legal, non-defective product. Following this logic, you could sue Ford, if you or a relative were the victim of a hit and run. Astounding support of the Second Amendment!

Obama supports gun owner licensing and gun registration. The problem here is that BHO’s liberal allies have first registered, then confiscated firearms in such diverse places as Britain, Australia, New York City, and California. More real support for the right to self-defense against crime and tyranny!

Obama is trying to suppress the official voice of the NRA’s four-million members by threatening media outlets in Pennsylvania, if they run ads showing his real position on gun issues. Seems like he doesn’t like the First Amendment any better than he likes the Second.

Hyup! Hyup! Obama’s Second Amendment sure don’t look like my Second Amendment. I guess that’s ’cause he’s so sopistikated, and all. You know, he went to Harvard. That’s one o’ them big, fancy colleges back East, don’t you know? Obama just wants the U.S. to look like most of the rest of this here planet, where a man named Madison said the rulers are “afraid to trust the people with arms.” I’m not sure what he meant by that. No foolin’. Whew! Glad I got that out of my system.

Seriously, Folks, in Obama’s Orwellian world, “The truth is lies.” “Freedom is slavery” and “Big Brother is watching you.”

As for the NRA life member supporting Obama: as an NRA member, I would be more than happy to contribute to any effort to buy back his membership, along with the one held by Michael Moore. Moore may not be a member any longer, since he no longer needs that credential to worm his way into an interview with Heston under false colors. Yet another story!

Obama may support a Second Amendment, but it is not the one in my Bill of Rights. The Liberal Democrats believe gun owners and Second Amendment supporters are bitter, clingy, and stupid. I believe that any gun owner who votes Democrat this year, or fails to vote GOP to stop Barack Hussein Obama, helps make the Liberals’ case.

You have one day (Monday) to register to vote in the General Election. Campaign and vote Republican or learn to live like the residents of the most crime-ridden cities in this country. Campaign and vote Republican or learn to live like a British subject. Remember! The British Olympic Pistol Team can not practice in their own country, because the Liberals passed “reasonable” gun laws.

Imagine a nightmare. Barack H. Obama is President of the United States with a 60 vote supermajority in the U.S. Senate that can override any filibuster. The Democrats control the U.S. House of Representatives and most state legislatures.

The “Fairness Doctrine” kills conservative talk radio and mandates “diverse” local radio stations run by left-wing women and minorities, who are more “sensitive” to the local needs of the people. Left-wing 527’s pour millions into Democrat political campaigns. Public employee unions, like those introduced into Colorado by Governor Bill Ritter, create armies of block workers for the Democrat Machine. The Brady Campaign, the Violence Policy Center, the Joyce Foundation, the Tides Foundation, Move on, and all the other “progressive” organizations call in their markers for their support of the Democrat Party.

Proposals arise for restrictive licensing of firearms. Semi-automatics are considered to be “unusual and dangerous weapons” outside the protection of the recent Heller Supreme Court Decision. Telescopic sights are banned. A federal mandantory ”microstamping” law is passed affecting cartridges for any weapons not considered “unusual and dangerous.” “Suspected terrorists” are named as “prohibited persons” with regard to gun ownership. Shooting ranges are closed down en masse, because of noise and lead pollution. National forests are closed to hunting and shooting.

Concealed carry of firearms is ”regulated” out of existence. Gun shows are shut down by requirements to register every single participant who comes through the door. All private sales are banned. Gun registration fees are raised to $1,000 per year, per gun, and must be renewed annually. Anti-gun researchers are given tens of millions of dollars in grants to find that guns are a public health epidemic. requiring more “control.” TV news programs, dramas and sitcoms continue to portray gun owners as “bitter,” toothless rednecks. Your liberal neighbors report you to the police, because they saw you take a cased rifle out to your car. The kids in the neighborhood are forbidden to play with your children, because they let slip that you have guns in the house. The couple next door acts like you have rabies.

The police pull you over at least once a month. Your boss at work starts asking questions about your mental stability and suggests that you talk to a counselor, “…just to be sure you don’t have any anger issues. You don’t have a gun in your car in the company parking lot, do you?”

Think this situation could never happen? Google the above listed liberal organizations and check out their perceptions and their wish lists. Liberals look at the Heller decision as an unfortunate bump in the road on their way to ultimate “gun safety” and “control” of the “firearms epidemic.”

Now for the key question. Imagine that you stayed home, failed to vote your individual right to self-defense, or voted for a third party candidate with no chance to win in November. How are you going to feel living in the People’s Republic of North America?

Wake up! The nightmare hasn’t happened yet. There is still time to campaign and vote for ELECTABLE candidates that you can possibly influence to protect your rights e.g., John McCain and other Republicans.

The Liberals think that gun owners are too stupid to own a gun without hurting themselves or someone else. Please don’t add fuel to their argument by throwing away your vote.

“Saturday Night Specials,” “Cop Killer Bullets,” “Assault Weapons,”"Junk Guns,” Bullet Hoses,”"Sniper Rifles:” we hear these pejorative terms applied all the time to guns and ammunition. Those of us in The Community of People Who Legally Possess Firearms must be more careful in not allowing anti-gun fanatics, latte liberals, and hard-core socialists to dictate the terms of the debate regarding our natural rights to self-defense against crime and tyranny that are recognised by the Second Amendment.

It’s hard to manage the language of the debate, when the other side controls most of the media outlets in the country. How often do law-abiding gun owners get a fair shake from ABC, NBC, CNN, PBS, NPR, The New York Times, Time, Newsweek, or for that matter, The Denver Post? Remember, people who get their news from these media outlets VOTE.

We have to deal with “Gun Show Loopholes,” “Safe Storage” laws, and “Make My Day” labels stuck on self-defense legislation. If we fail to make counter arguments using at least neutral language, the other side will bury us with cliches and negative word associations. Don’t think it’s important?

Think about how you feel after saying the words “Safe Storage?” Doesn’t it make you feel good? Don’t you think that “Safe Storage” of guns and ammunition is a positive thing? It doens’t sound so good, when you consider that “Safe Storage” is liberal code for “Lock Up Your Guns And Ammo, So That You Can’t Use Them For Self-Defense.”

“How about “Cop Killer Bullets.” That term has scared the common sense right out of a generation of Americans. The so-called “Cop Killer Bullets” were never available to the public, even though you wouldn’t know it by watching the evening news.

We need to find a good label for our side of the gun debate. Both sides of the abortion fight have powerful monikers, “Pro Choice” versus “Pro Life.” As far as I am concerned, “Pro Choice” translates into a woman’s right to kill her unborn child for any reason, but you get the point. “Pro Life” is a good label. It is good “branding” in the Madison Avenue advertising tradition.

The best I have been able to do on the gun debate is something like “Our best defense against crime and tyranny.” That’s not concise or catchy enough. “Gun Rights” is often used as a catch phrase, but we are not really talking about the rights of a tool. Nobody would advocate for ”Shovel Rights,” or “Saw Rights.” We are discussing the basic individual right of a human being to protect him or herself from private and governmental violence through the most effective means currently available. That’s not catchy either.

If anyone can come up with an apt title for the individual rights movement, I’m sure lots of people will be willing to listen. We need a good catch phrase, because our opponents are for “Gun Safety,” and “Reducing Gun Violence,” and all sorts of touchy/feely emotional, cuddly stuff like that. We need something equally concise and pithy. Any suggestions?

Beware of any group or person that espouses the “legitimate sporting purpose” line with regard to the possession and use of firearms. They will tell you, “We/I support some guns for hunting, but nobody needs an ‘assault rifle’ or a handgun, or a magazine that holds over six rounds.” What every hunter needs to remember is that his or her extremely accurate, expensive hunting weapon with the billion-power scope is a “sniper rifle” to the anti-gun crowd. “The friend of the tyrant is merely his (or her) last victim.”
