Comment re: “Chicago gang violence…” lacks intellectual substance
September 25, 2008 | Leave a Comment
While reviewing comments on this site, I came upon a recent two-word gem lacking capitalization or punctuation. I’m not sure if the “you suck” (sic) comment from mc loving referred to my post, “Chicago gang violence shows gun law failure” (April 24th, 2008, Category: Gun Law Failures) or to a comment under that post.

Shooting death toll rises-time for U.S. to pull out of Chicago?
September 19, 2008 | Leave a Comment
CBS 2 reports that 125 people were shot and killed this summer in Chicago. The story further states that the number almost equals the number of troops lost in Iraq over the same period.
What are we to make of this carnage in a city with a handgun ban and some of the most onerous anti-self-defense laws in the [...]

When will they want to come into your house to inspect your [...]

San Francisco proposes “Garbage Police.” Am I psychic or what?
August 1, 2008 | 3 Comments
On 07-21-08, I projected in a post entitled, “Obama’s “service” speech: Gestapo, Red Guards, or something else?” that Left-wing oriented youth service corps members could very well become Red Guard-type garbage inspectors enforcing strict recycling trash sorting laws. (Categories: Culture War, Elections-on this site)
The San Francisco Department of the Environment didn’t even wait for the [...]

Voting Democrat Could Destroy Your Gun Rights

Last night, I watched part of Mel Gibson’s movie, Apocalypto, about internal corruption and destruction in the Mayan Civilization. In the movie, a group of ragtag refugees approaches a band of hunters in the jungle. The leader of the refugees tells the hunters that his land has been “ravaged.” The leader [...]
