People asking detailed questions about security measures at government buildings or deliberately going into restricted areas would cause me concern.  Timing the arrival of emergency responders would set off numerous alarms in the intelligence officer part of my brain case.  Rehearsing a terrorist attack is a definite “no-no.”

A large donation to a “charity that you have never heard of” is more troubling, when regarded as an indicator of terrorism.  Using guns in a garage as a symptom of terrorist intentions strikes me as downright scary in an Orwellian, Stalinist, Nazi kind of way.  (I would be suspicious of C-4 explosive charges, grenades, rocket propelled grenade launchers, Molotov cocktails etc.)

We need to keep in mind and this video should have mentioned that American Citizens have a right to own binoculars, cameras, and watches.  American Citizens, unlike disarmed British and Japanese subjects, have a constitutional right to the possession of and use of firearms.

This video was funded by the Obama Administration’s Department of Homeland Security and unveiled at a convention of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, which tells you a lot about what I perceive to be bias in the piece.  Homeland Security put out the infamous document warning about Second Amendment supporters, veterans, and abortion opponents as potential terrorists.  The International Association of Chiefs of Police is featured on the anti-gun Joyce Foundation Website in conjunction with their efforts to implement draconian gun control measures in the United States.

BTW, Barack Hussein Obama sat on the board of the Joyce Foundation for years.  He also appointed Janet Napolitano to the Homeland Security post.  Draw your own conclusions about his stand on guns.

You will note in the video that citizens are asked to report “any suspicious activity” and “gut feelings” that something may be amiss.  ”Suspicious looking vehicles” should be reported.  “Suspicious persons” should be phoned in to the Colorado Information Analysis Center.  God help you, if you happen to be a white male wearing a boonie hat driving a pickup truck with a gun rack in the back window and an NRA sticker on the bumper.

BTW, unless I missed something, most of the “terrorists” in the video were white men with short haircuts.  There were a few anglo women and one black man portrayed as dangerous enemies of America.  Other people of color would never be involved in terrorist activities, so don’t narc on them.  It could be that government agencies that helped with the video just don’t have any other people of color on staff to play terrorists.  Hmmm! Maybe we should investigate those agencies for affirmative action problems.

It is possible that S. 2099 is a deliberate distraction from the many real threats to our fundamental, individual rights to self-defense against crime, tyranny, and genocide.  These real threats include, but are not limited to:

H.R. 45-Registers owners of handguns and semi-automatic firearms.  The bill appears to effectively ban access to or possession of any firearm by anyone under 18.  (See my post, “House Bill 45, the anti-gun rights campaign begins in ernest,” under the tag, “anti-gun Democrats,” 01-19-09.)

H.R. 2401-Transfers information from the notoriously innacurate no-fly lists to the National Instant Check System.  The late U.S. Senator Ted Kennedy was on a no-fly list. (See my post, “H.R. 2401: ‘No Fly, No Buy!’ ’Big Brother loves you,’ but isn’t good with names,” tagged “H.R 2401,” 08-14-09.)

H.R. 2159-Allows the Attorney General to strip you of your right to own a gun if you are “suspected” of being a terrorist.  This bill dovetails with H.R. 2401 above.  The AG thinks you are a terrorist, because you are a veteran, because you are against abortion, or because you oppose gun control.  Your name goes on the “no-fly” list as a suspected terrorist and immediately gets flagged on the NICS computer.  What was it that O’Henry said, “…beautiful and simple, as all truly great swindles are.”    

S. 843-Would almost certainly kill every gun show in the country by over-regulation.  As I read S. 843, in order to comply with the provisions of this act, a promoter would  need to register every single person in the show.  (I’m not an attorney.  I don’t even play one on TV.)  (See my post of 04-27-09, “S. 843 threatens your rights,” tagged “S. 843 (2009.”)

The so-called “CIFTA” Agreement, a “Convention” of the Organization of American States, endangers gun rights in this country on an on-going basis.  (See my post of 04-17-09, “OAS treaty threatens Second Amendment,” tagged “Foreign Influence.”)

Who could have perpetrated a hoax such as a 2009 version of S. 2099?  Oh, I don’t know, maybe the same folks who faked those fraudulent negative officer efficiency reports about President Bush. 

Advocates for individual rights in this country have already beaten back governmental threats to freedom this year.  Two of these threats were the attempted destruction of military surplus ammunition shell casings and an attempt by the Customs Service to declare knives that can be opened with one hand to be “switchblades.” (”Reports of military brass destruction could be bad news for reloaders and shooters,” 03-14-09, tagged “Another attack on gun owners?”) (’”Write Customs to stop proposed knife ruling,” 06-16-09, tagged “Knife Issues.”)

The real threats are real enough.  We can’t waste time and energy chasing after long-dead phantoms like 2099.  If you get an E-mail with this charade in it, reply to the sender that it is bogus.  Request that the sender forward your E-mail to everyone that got the fake message.  We can’t afford distractions from the vital business of defending our birthright of freedom.

The story in The Denver Post, “08 Race worker held in damage to Democratic HQ,” by Jessica Fender, appeared on Page 1B of the 08-26-09 paper. Litwin’s piece, “Bemused by the pane and the story,” showed up on Page 2A of the same edition.

In describing the alleged perpetrator as a possible agent provocateur, Boyles shined a light on an extremely dangerous tactic that is always available to those who would socialize medicine and disarm the American People in the name of “progress.” If you believe in the utopian dream of the perfectly managed society, then the ends justify the means.  This may mean attacking your own side and trying to blame it on someone else.   As David Horowitz wrote on Page 438 of his excellent book, Left Illusions, “If you believe in a future that will redeem mankind, what lie will you not tell, and what crime will you not commit, to make the future happen?”

The purpose of this crime may have been to cast false blame on the so-called “Nazis,” “haters,” and other conservative “wing nuts” who dare to oppose the statist policies of the Obama Administration. The blame game ploy is as old as history. Nero used the fire that destroyed much of Rome to justify persecution of early Christians. Hitler used the Reichstag Fire to boost support for his takeover the German Government. (Who started the fires? We will probably never know.)

I’m not saying that the alleged perpetrator and his unidentified accomplice were paid by anyone to commit an act of political vandalism. Mr. Schwenkler had worked in the past for an organization with Left-wing ties, according to the news stories. If he did shatter the windows of the Democrat Headquarters, he may well have acted out of personal conviction and not as a paid operative.

It is also possible that the actual perpetrator of this crime is so far Left that breaking out the windows was a protest.  Perhaps the socialized medicine scheme pushed by the Obama Administration does not go far enough. Litwin mused over this conundrum in his article.

It now appears that anarchist web sites are raising bail money for Schwenkler, who is reportedly an individual with ties to far-Left anarchist organizations. It may be that this incident is an internecine quarrel between Leftists.

In any case, defenders of the right of American Citizens to armed self-defense against crime, tyranny and genocide must be ever vigilant against agent provocateurs who seek to demonize firearms and the people who own them. We must closely examine every single high profile mass murder and spree killing for evidence of possible external influences. We must also be aware of Left-wing media bias that magnifies alleged wrongdoing associated with conservatives and minimizes  crimes committed by the “progressive” Left. See my Category, “Media Bias.” As Edmond Burke wrote, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” Burke also said, “The people never give up their liberty but under some delusion.”

Avoid delusions! Let us actively support the civil rights of all Americans and be acutely suspicious of anyone who approaches the jewel of liberty that is our Bill of Rights.  We must educate citizens to avoid knee jerk reactions.  Every attack on the Left is not from the Right.  Sometimes, the Left attacks the Left.

Washington D.C., where the Holocaust Museum Shooting took place, is a legally mandated “gun free” zone for ordinary, common citizens.  (Think of it as a criminal-safe, free-fire zone, although, this time, there were armed security guards.)

Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon is against the law. Brandishing a weapon is illegal.  Murder or attempted murder, battery, or even a verbal offer of violence is illegal.  Von Brunn broke numerous laws in his intended rampage, which thankfully was ended by people with guns.  Criminals, by definition, don’t obey laws.  That statement should be engraved somewhere on a library.

There are roughly 80,000,000 law-abiding gun owners in this country.  We must not allow ourselves to become hostage to acts of violence perpetrated by deranged individuals. 

For those firearms enthusiasts who slowly shoot paper targets, collect antiques or “curios and relics,” and those hunters who use lever action, bolt action, or pump firearms, be advised that this crime was committed with an “old” rifle.  Do not ever be deluded into the notion that the “Progressive” Left only wants to take away handguns and “black” rifles.  If they can ban an AR-15, I believe that they can and will, ban your target rifle, hunting rifle, or Winchester ’73.

Look at the interconnecting web of restrictive regulations being spun by the Homeland Security Report on “right-wing extremists,” H.R. 2159, and H.R. 2401.  The Homeland Security Report broad brushes veterans, abortion opponents, Evangelical Christians, and “single issue” advocates (read Second Amendment supporters) as potential terrorists.

H.R. 2159 allows the Attorney General to declare you to be a terrorist based on “a preponderance of the evidence” and may deny you the right to confront your accuser based on “national security interests.”  Once on a watch list, you have no legal right to possess a gun or get on a plane.

McCarthy’s bill, H.R. 2401, the “No Fly, No Buy Act of 2009,” would include “persons who may be prevented from boarding an aircraft in the National Instant Criminal Background Check System…”

The Page 1B, 05-31-2009  Denver Post article,”Name’s not the same?  That just won’t fly,” “Mistaken ID’s of flyers on watch lists happen daily,” outlines some of the problems with the current aircraft boarding program.  What happens if you happen to have the same name as a “terrorist” on the “No Fly List?” “No Fly, no buy?”  

What happens if an errant bug falls into a printer at our Big Brother’s Ministry of Information or whatever it was that they called “Spy on You Central” in Terry Gilliam’s prophetic, dystopian movie, Brazil.   It could be, “No Fly, no buy!”  No legal right to own a gun, ever! 

(Dystopia is a variation on utopia, meaning a utopian vision that didn’t work out.  See 1984, Animal Farm, Brave New World, It Can’t Happen Here, Soylent Green, Minority Report, and Logan’s Run, for a few warnings about dystopian societies that may be closer to our present reality than we would like to think.)

By the way, isn’t it strange that shortly after the Homeland Security Report came out, we have multiple shooting incidents that seem to reinforce the conclusions of the report?  Abortion clinic shooting.  Anti-Semitic shooting.  Hmmm!  Von Brunn: name sounds Nazi-like, doesn’t it?  (See my post, “Look for more shootings after church killing and more calls for gun control,” 03-12-09, under the Category “Spree Killings.”)

In any case, all law-abiding gun owners must stand together in resisting further attempts by the Left to restrict our fundamental right to self-defense against crime, tyranny, and genocide.  Failure to do so will result in our demotion from citizens to subjects.  Remember!  The British Olympic Pistol Team trains in Switzerland, because it would be illegal for them to practice on their native soil.

I would not normally bother with this, but today at a gun show, I heard a firearms dealer adamately insist that S. 2099 is a current threat.  Urban legends on the Internet are often almost impossible to kill.  Here is my two cents worth.  Die, Monster!  Die!  

Snopes, the Urban Legends Section of About.com, and the NRA-ILA all confirm that a 2009 version of S. 2099 does not exist as of this date.

A 2009 bill, HR 45, would register owners of handguns and semi-autos with magazine wells and apparently would ban anyone under 18 from touching a firearm under all but life or death, self-defense circumstances.  (See my posts on HR 45 under the Category: “Registration.”)  HR 45 is very bad bill that bears watching, even though it is probably not going anywhere.  Keep an eye on it!

Trust, but verify!  We all make mistakes, but let’s correct the ones that we discover and try not to spread unfounded rumors.

A quick wrap up of ongoing and recent events:

HR 45 is still a threat to gun owners’ rights.  This bill registers owners of handguns and semi-autos with magazine wells, registers all future sales, appears to ban all possession of any firearm by a person under 18 (no exceptions), and may allow BATFE personnel to come into your home to inspect your gun storage arrangements.  (See my posts under the Category: “Registration.”)

S. 843 is a new threat on an old theme.  This bill is designed to “close the gun show loophole,” which in my opinion doesn’t really exist.  In any case this bill could very well “regulate” gun shows out of existence.  I don’t see how a promoter could meet the requirements of this bill without registering every single person who enters the show.  (See my posts under the Category: “Registration.”)

The OAS CIFTA Treaty remains a threat to gun owners in conjuction with AG Holder’s misinformation regarding the number of U.S.-made guns going to Mexico and supposedly “fueling” the endemic violence in that country.  (See my post, “OAS Treaty threatens Second Amendment,” under the Category: Foreign Gun Laws.”)  (See also, “Left overstates US gun impact on Mexican Violence,” under the Category, “Media Bias.”)

Homeland Security Chief Napolitano’s report linking gun rights advocates and other “right wing extremists” to possible terrorism dovetails with HR 2159, which is a retread of a bill introduced last year that allows the Attorney General to designate you to be a terrorist on the basis of hearsay information.  Once you have been so designated you can not legally own a firearm or board an airplane.  You may not have the right to confront your accuser and getting off the list in the case of a mistake may be very difficult.   

Governor Bill Ritter vetoed HB 1180, a Colorado bill that would have allowed concealed carry permit holders to use their permits to buy a gun without going through an additional background check.  Montana, Wyoming, and Utah are using this system without having a flood of blood in the streets.  (See my posts on HB 1180 under the Category: “Colorado State Issues.”)

On the positive side, the U.S. House and Senate just passed an amendment to a credit card bill that will support the Bush Administration ruling allowing concealed carry permit holders to defend themselves and others in national parks in states that recognize their permits.  We’ll see how this shakes out in Colorado.  Left-wing, Mainstream Media bias shock jocks are working overtime on this one.  Even Fox News aired a misleading, simplified version of the legislation.

Don’t get complacent, because we won this battle.  The above listed bills. the Obama record on guns, and his anti-gun appointments to key positions portend a hard road ahead for the Second Amendment, once the Democrats finish socializing the rest of American Society.

Look for a high profile shooting spree in the near future to boost the Left’s argument for more gun control.  (See my posts under the Category: “Conspiracy Theories.”)

The murders of police officers in California and Pennsylvania and the New York immigration center killings have provided a bloody backdrop for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s call for gun registration.  The Second Amendment Foundation issued an alert on her April 7th pronouncement.

The Democrats just happen to have a bill in Congress that registers semi-automatics (”assault weapons”), handguns, and the people who own them.  HR 45 is the dream bill for the Brady Campaign, the Violence Policy Center, and all the other organizations that call for the disarmament/dis-empowerment of the American People.  (See my post: “House Bill 45, the anti-gun rights campaign begins in earnest,” 01-19-09, under the Category: “Culture War.”

If you haven’t read The Shadow Party by Horowitz and Poe and you own a gun or love the Constitution and freedom, you are like a blind cow being led down the chute at a slaughterhouse.  The above posts contain links to relevant web pages that I believe assemble the puzzle regarding the rush to Socialism by the Obama Administration.

Contact your senators, representative, Ms. Pelosi, and Mr. Reid and politely let them know your feelings about gun registration.  They are nervous about the political consequences of gun bans.  They need to be as nervous about registration, which is a necessary first step to the confiscation of privately held firearms in America.  (If you don’t believe it, check out what happened in England, Australia, New York, New Jersey, Louisiana, and California.)

If you don’t belong to and support  pro-individual rights organizations like the NRA and the Firearms Coalition of Colorado, get on board, now!  This may be your last chance to make a difference!  (See my Category: “Order of Battle.”)

This is not a drill!  This is the real thing.  Either respond now, or get ready to register and eventually give up your guns, or become a criminal subject to fines and imprisonment.  These people are serious!

We can debate whether these clusters of murders are copycat killings caused by  “immortality” conferred on killers by the Mainstream Media, or caused by the “easy availability” of firearms (scientific evidence to the contrary).  Mass murders could be linked to  government creation of “gun-free zones,” which are really “criminal- safe, free-fire zones.”  There might be a conspiracy to manufacture these incidents in order to further an anti-individual rights agenda.  My inclination is toward the first, third, and last of these explanations, but I could just be paranoid.

In any event, lovers of freedom and advocates for the right to armed self-defense against crime, tyranny, and genocide must brace ourselves for another onslaught against our right to own inanimate objects that can be used as tools for protection, recreation,  or destruction.  The other side sees them as “Demon Guns.”

David Kopel of the Independence Institute has made the case that media outlets should minimize publicity regarding the names of spree killers to dampen the enthusiasm of those who would emulate mass murderers in the hope of gaining lasting notoriety.  Kopel also discusses the correlation between the rise of the electronic media and increases in criminal violence.

Open almost any newspaper or tune into any mainstream TV station to get the argument that the “easy availability” of guns is going to kill us all.  (See my posts under the Category: “Research” for a bit of the evidence that guns don’t cause crime.)

I believe that Kirby Ferris has insight into the possibility that some shadowy anti-gunners are using Manchurian Candidate-like mind control to motivate shooters into perpetrating mass murders at strategic times.  (Before you write us both off as crazy, read his articles here and here.)

I have done a considerable amount of research into this issue, myself, and have found a number of anomalies in many shooting incidents that have occurred at times that were much too convenient for the other side.  Then again, I could just be paranoid.

Look for a moment at Columbine.  It occurred days before the NRA Convention in Denver.  The State Legislature was considering an improved concealed carry law at the time.  The Columbine is the Colorado State Flower, so the incident stuck in the minds of many people.  The mass murder occurred on Hitler’s birthday and one day after the anniversaries of the Battle of Lexington, the Waco conflagration, and the Oklahoma City Bombing.  The shooting tainted an upcoming, annual,  pro-individual rights rally at the State Capitol.  One of the teens killed at the school was named Mauser.  (For anyone unfamiliar with firearms, Mauser is also the name of a famous gun maker.)

How did the Columbine killers get all those bombs into the school without help?  Given the extremely volatile nature of propane, why didn’t the two propane tank bombs go off?  Who was “KiBBz,” (Kibitzer?)  a code-named person in the killers’ writings?  Too many questions without answers cloud this mass murder.  There are other examples.  It could be coincidence, but a gunman at the State Capitol came from Rifle, Colorado.  How many shootings have occurred in places named “Springfield?”  (Springfield is also the name of a gun maker.)

If something “accidental” happens to me, I hope people will be suspicious.  How’s that for paranoia and ideas of reference?  So far, I’m willing to admit that I could be wrong, unlike a lot of really emotional folks on the other side of the debate.

In any case, look for more shootings that “conveniently” occur at the worst possible times for gun owners.  Look at the details surrounding mass murders and things that don’t fit in.  “Question authority!”  The folks on the other side often liked to say that.  They don’t say it so much, any more.

About a week after the House Republicans stripped pork for ACORN out their version of the Bailout Bill, the U.S. Senate passed a porky bill of its own. Guess What! Sen Dem Leadership praised Barney Frank and Chris Dodd for their work on the Bailout. Frank told us a few years ago that Fannie and Freddy were healthy and necessary to helping the economically disadvantaged achieve the American dream of home ownership. Dodd received the most money from Fannie and Freddy. Barack “Call Me if You Need Me” Obama came in second in the Fan and Fred dialing for dollars Senate marathon, in spite of only four years experience as a junior senator in that august body. Check out two of Fannie Mae CEO’s with reported ties to the Obama campaign.

Confused? You should be. Or rather, you are supposed to be confused, scared to death, and desperate for “CHANGE.”

In my opinion, the Fannie and Freddie crisis and bailout is consistent with a Liberal desire to nationalize the housing market and banking industry and to drive the American People into voting for any “CHANGE.”
Paranoid? Insane? Certifiable? Crazy as a loon? Nutty? Bats? Indulge me for a few minutes in a delusion, or possibly just a bad dream.

Saul Alinsky(1909-1972) wrote Reveille for Radicals and Rules for Radicals, which basically encouraged Socialists to subvert capitalism by “becoming” the system. Alinsky thought of the Class Struggle in terms of war and wrote about defeating the “enemy.” Alinsky ingratiated himself with Chicago crime bosses and the very wealthy. (Horowitz, David, Poe Richard, The Shadow Party, Nelson Current, Nashville, Tenn, 2006, pages 56-60.)

Both Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Hussein Obama were students of Alinsky, who pushed the doctrine of gradual socialist revolution through the use of Middle Class activists and organizers.

ACORN plays a fourfold role in our train wreck. (Whoa! The Red Queen is in a rage. Hold on to your head!)

The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now has been instrumental in promoting loans to people who could not afford to repay them. According to Newt Gingrich, who appeared on Bill O’Reilly’s show on 09-3-08, and Ken Blackwell, who appeared on Hannity and Colmes immediately after, Barack Obama trained ACORN personnel in the Alinsky Method of revolution and legally represented the group. ACORN, as a community organizing group, has been implicated in voter fraud in numerous states. (discoverthe networks.org provides more information, as does The Shadow Party on pages 39-44, 102-103, 122-126, 170, 172, 193 and 209.)

Finally, ACORN was to have been the beneficiary of housing money in the original Democrat House version of the Fan/Fred Bailout Bill. House Republicans managed to strip this particular side of self-serving pork from the bill, before it finally stalled. (Hey! There goes another flying monkey! I thnk he’s got Toto.)

Cloward and Piven were Socialist activists, who apparently believed that the American Republic’s welfare system was designed to placate the masses and prevent or slow the “natural” progression of the society toward revolution and SOCIALISM. Cloward and Piven conceived an idea to wreck the New York City Welfare System by flooding the rolls with thousands of new applicants and overwhelming existing resources. When the system could not respond to the influx, community organizers fomented civil unrest. The purpose of the exercise was to force the Federal Government to give more taxpayer money to the “poor, downtrodden” clients of ACORN through ACORN. (Shadow Party, pages 106,108,110, 114-115, 124 and 127) (Duck! Out-of-control witch on a broom. No wait! It’s a Warlock! Where did he come from?)

Alinsky, ACORN, Obama, Cloward, and Piven appear to be associated with a radical scheme that resulted in the housing meltdown and the Fan/Fred crisis. More to follow.

Here’s an interesting thought. Talk to an “average” citizen who doesn’t follow politics. This person probably gets his or her information from ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, MSNBC, NPR, Time, Newsweek, the New York Times, the LA Times, the Washington Post, or the Denver Post, etc. Ask this man or woman about Alinsky, ACORN, or Cloward/Piven. If he/she is unfamiliar with the names, attempt to educate him or her. He or she will think you are crazy. (Don’t you love politically correct English?

He or she didn’t hear or see any stories about these interesting folks from the Left-wing-controlled Mainstream Media news sources. “If I didn’t see it, it must not exist. If it happened, THEY would have told me.” (How much have YOU heard from the Mainstream Media about the Obama Campaign’s effort to stop the NRA from running ads in Pennsylvania about Obama’s record on guns?) (See my last post.)  The man behind the curtain is not the Wizard of Oz. It might be the Cheshire Cat. All we can see is the smile.

Let’s look at the Cloward/Pivin Model as it might apply to gun control. Liberals passed regulations that made it hard, if not impossible, for honest citizens to defend themselves using firearms, e.g., Chicago, D.C., San Francisco, New York City. Criminals and spree-killer psychopaths take advantage of the Liberals’ “gun free,” criminal-safe, free-fire zones to shoot up schools, universities, shopping malls, and entire inner cities. (See my posts on Chicago under the Category “Gun Law Failures.”)

Liberals then shout “The system is broken! We must have more gun control!” Criminals and spree-killer psychopaths take advantage… And, so it goes. The Liberals’ goal is apparently SOCIALISM and total control of the “mindless,” disarmed and helpless proletariat by the Liberal Elite.

Look at Public Education. Look at the War on Terror. Every time the Left sees a fire that could damage the American Republic, they seem to reach for a gasoline can. We have economic problems. Obama wants to raise taxes. (Oh! Here comes the Camelot Crew again. THEY will save us. Watch out for the hooves of their chargers! Hey! Take it easy with that lance! The bad guys are over there!)

Peter Boyles on his Denver talk show this week had two former Immigration (ICE) agents on the air. They said that around 25,000 illegal aliens had purchased homes in the Denver Metro Area with false documents, and that about 100,000 illegals had purchased homes in Colorado. Multiply that number by Obama’s 57 states (sic) and it gives you some idea of how the Left’s policy of “Sanctuary Cities” has greased the rails, contributing to the train wreck and the increased presence of mock turtles and talking walruses in American society.

Remember that ACORN, the community organizer organization is also one of the biggest opponents of requiring identification at polling places. ACORN likes mail-in ballots. Why? Oh, I don’t know. Maybe because fraudulent voting by mail is more convenient?

I probably don’t have to remind you that the Chicago Democrat Machine, of which Barack Obama is a graduate, could be considered “the Gold Standard” for political corruption in the U.S., as well as making Chicago almost as dangerous a place as Iraq. (See my Chicago post under “Gun Law Failures.”)

Cutting to the chase, it looks to me like the Fannie/Freddie Fable is simply another example of the Cloward/Piven Strategy applied to the housing market. The Democrats, who blocked John McCain’s attempt to reform Fan and Fred in 2005, helped flood the system with impossible loans. Radical Dems blame the GOP; get their Mainstream Media cohorts to panic the American People; and stampede the admittedly weak Bush White House, the U.S. House, and the Senate to “Do something!”

“Progressives” thereby socialize a good chunk of the housing sector in the U.S. and make the people desperate for CHANGE. Call me crazy, but if a group of people make a plan, create an organization to carry out the plan, and the goals of the plan are achieved; are we supposed to believe that the situation developed on its own? Are we really as stupid, bitter, and clingy as the Left seems to think we are?

Are we to believe that the Fan/Fred Crisis conveniently (for the Dems) came to a head on the eve of an election where the most radical member of the U.S. Senate, with ties to Alinsky and Acorn happens to be running for President? Remember Obama’s corporate board ties to former terrorist Ayers and Obama’s presence on the board of the anti-gun Joyce Foundation. Read one book, before you vote. Read the Shadow Party. The book focuses on Hillary Rodam Clinton’s affiliation with billionaire George Saros and the association of organizations known as the Shadow Party. Barack Obama is obviously the new darling of the Shadow Party, since he seems to be more radical than Clinton.

In the interest of full disclosure, John McCain comes in for his share of criticism in the book by Horowitz and Poe. “Campaign Finance Reform” was not a good idea in my considered opinion. I also have some bones to pick with McCain over his policies and actions regarding the individual right of American Citizens to self-defense against crime and tyranny. Having said that, I agree with McCain on about 80% of his gun policies. I agree with virtually none of Barack Obama’s views on firearms or just about anything else.

FDR said in effect that nothing happens by accident in politics. Look! There’s a Munchkin chasing the white rabbit! Many thanks to the Freeper or Town Hall commenter who reminded me of Cloward/Piven.

As imperfect as they are, the Republicans are the only hope we have of stopping the Far Left in this election. Vote your gun rights. Vote for freedom!  Spread the word!  The truth may yet keep us free!
