John McCain shored up the Conservative Base; reassured many gunnies, including me; helped himself with Evangelicals; attracted many female Democrats and Independents; got a running mate with credentials as a reformer; made Hillary Rodham Clinton incredibly bitter about her party (in my opinion); and left the Democrats trying to figure out why the only woman in this race is a Republican Governor.
Didn’t Obama look shell-shocked after the announcement? His swagger of the night before was gone, like his teleprompter.
Palin’s nickname on her championship high school basketball team was “Sarah the Barracuda.” Whew! Good day’s work, John! Look out Biden! The Barracuda is coming after you!
