In this election year, I think it is critical that advocates of the individual right to self-defense againt crime and tyranny recognised by the Second Amendment support like-minded candidates in primaries against hostile, less-dedicated, or untested opponents. This is especially important if the pro-rights candidates have rock solid voting records on Second Amendment issues.

A Colorado case in point is State Representative Lauri Clapp, running for State Senate District 26. For whatever reason, she has a primary opponent this year. Representative Clapp has long been a salwart on gun issues. I believe she deserves our votes and whatever other support we can render. If you love freedom, send money. If you live in the Denver Metro Area, volunteer to walk precincts, make phone calls, stuff envelopes, and/or drop literature for her campaign. If you live in State Senate District 26, put up a yard sign, walk precincts, make phone calls, stuff envelopes, and vote for this lady.

If you don’t know what Senate District you are in, contact your county clerk ASAP! It is half-past “urgent” in this election cycle.

Pro-rights candidates can’t win general elections, if they don’t win primaries. Pick a candidate and take the time to get involved in the process. If you are too busy or too cool to get your hands dirty now, plan to take time to register and eventually turn in your gun later, when the hard-left “progressives” win.

Solid work. Knowledge is the first step to enacting change!
