Comment period on guns in national parks nears end
June 24, 2008 | Tagged Concealed Carry, guns in national parks, Second Amendment |
The 60 Day comment period on the licensed carry of concealed weapons in national parks is rapidly expiring. This week is about it, if you want to extend the right of American Citizens licensed by their states to carry concealed in national parks. According to the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, the following crimes were committed in national parks from 2002 to 2007: 63 murders, 240 rapes or attempted rapes, and 309 robberies. Remember what the anti-individual rights folks say, “If it saves just one life, it’s worth it.” If you don’t comment, don’t complain if this beneficial change to the regulations does not happen.

See my post of 05-01-08, “60 Day Comment Period Opens on Guns in National Parks,” under the category of Federal Law/Policy on this site. The document number that originally worked, when I made my comment, does not appear to work now. Search on “concealed carry…” as listed above.
