Voting Democrat Could Destroy Your Gun Rights

Last night, I watched part of Mel Gibson’s movie, Apocalypto, about internal corruption and destruction in the Mayan Civilization. In the movie, a group of ragtag refugees approaches a band of hunters in the jungle. The leader of the refugees tells the hunters that his land has been “ravaged.” The leader of the hunters advises his son that the refugees are contaminated by fear, and that the hunters need to discuss the situation with tribal elders, before raising the alarm.
Bad move in the movie! When battered and broken refugees appear in your area, you need to do some quick intelligence gathering.
Who were the ravagers? Where did they come from? How many were there? What were their tactics? Where were they headed? How were they armed? How fast were they moving? Only with this kind of immediate threat assessment can you survive.
In the movie, the hunters’ village was attacked the next morning, the women raped, killed or enslaved; the men dragged away to be sacrificed on a bloody stone altar of the Mayan Empire. In the real world, we must pay attention to what the enemies of the Second Amendment are doing, wherever they are active.
In California, the ravagers have introduced a new bill, Assembly Bill 2062, that attacks our rights through the avenue of choking off ammunition to hunters and shooters. (Check out the Colorado Gun Issues Link on this site.)
Briefly, Ass. Bill 2062 requires a permit costing $135 and entailing a background check to buy handgun ammunition. Only a certified “handgun ammunition vendor” would be able to legally transfer more than 50 rounds per month to another individual. Vendors would have to record every buyer’s name, driver’s license number, and keep exact information on the ammunition purchased. Vendors would be required to consult the state database of permit holders before selling ammunition. Every single sale of ammuntion would be subject to a $3.00 tax. Mail order sales would be banned.
Tyranny alert! Nanny state alert! Democrat alert! The Dems have a stranglehold on California and the RINO Governator will sign almost anything. If we are going to maintain what Second Amendment rights we have left, we are going to have to read the signs and omens and avoid the Californication of Colorado and the United States.

Get politically active. If you don’t find out what a lit drop is before the next election, and if you don’t campaign and vote for pro Second Amendment Republican candidates (or the rare pro-gun Democrat incumbent), you will find yourself enslaved or on the way to the bloody altar of liberal utopianism. Eternal vigilance is the price of freedom.
